What is Old Time

Traditional English Old Time (aka Classical) Sequence dancing started at the end of the 19th century and was the fore-runner of today's ballroom dancing.  Since then, new step arrangements or sequences have been regularly devised, and currently there are about 12 prize-winning arrangements a year

What do we dance

We dance using many forms of rhythms, including:- Saunter, Two Step, Tango, Gavotte, Old Time Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot.  The set dances, such as the Quadrilles and the Lancers date back to around 1730
